How do towering mountains rise up from flat ground?
Some mountains are so tall their peaks poke above the clouds, with snow on top even in summer. Yet the ground they stand on was not always sky-high. Something lifted all that solid rock up towards the heavens. So how does ordinary flat ground heave itself up into a towering mountain?
