Mystery #3Tier 1physics / magnets
Why does a magnet grab the fridge door but ignore the wall right beside it?
Stick a magnet on the fridge and it holds fast, strong enough to pin up your drawings. Slide it a few centimetres onto the kitchen wall right next to the fridge and it just slithers off and drops to the floor. The magnet hasn't changed and neither has the room. So what is it about the fridge that the wall doesn't have?
