Why does a bouncing ball never bounce back as high?
Drop a ball and it bounces. Then it bounces again, but a little lower. And again, lower still, until the bounces shrink to a buzz and it sits there, perfectly still. Nobody told it to stop. Nothing grabbed it. So where did all that bouncing go?
