Why does a giant steel ship float when a tiny coin sinks?
Drop a small coin in water and it sinks instantly. Yet a cargo ship made of thousands of tonnes of steel β far, far heavier than the coin β floats just fine. If heavy things sink, how does the much heavier one stay on top?
