Mystery #1Tier 2-3stars / energy
Why does the Sun shine?
The Sun has been blazing away, day and night, for about four and a half billion years, long before there were any dinosaurs, any oceans, any Earth at all. Nothing we know of, no bonfire, no furnace, no power station, could burn that brightly for even a tiny fraction of that time without running out of fuel. So what on earth keeps the Sun shining for so unimaginably long?
