The short version
CosmoMind is built to be private by default. There are no accounts and no logins. We don't track you, we don't show adverts, and we never sell anyone's information. Your progress stays in your own browser. The only personal detail we ever see is an email address, and only if a grown-up chooses to write to us.
Playing the mysteries
You can explore every mystery and game without signing up or telling us anything about yourself. As you go, we remember which mysteries you've guessed and finished so the site can show your progress. That memory is stored only in your own browser, on your own device. It never leaves the device and we can't see it. Clearing your browser data erases it, and it holds nothing personal, just a list of which mysteries you've visited.
If you send us a message
Our contact form is for grown-ups, parents, teachers or curious readers. If you use it, you give us your email address and your message. We use these for one thing only: to read what you said and reply if a reply is needed. We never add your address to a mailing list, and we never share or sell it.
To deliver your message to our inbox, the form uses a service called Web3Forms. Your email and message pass through Web3Forms on the way to us. You can read how they handle data on their own website. If you'd rather not use the form, you simply don't have to.
Counting visitors
We like to know roughly how many people visit and which mysteries are popular, so we can make the site better. For this we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is designed to be private. It uses no cookies, doesn't follow you around the web, and doesn't build a profile of you. It only produces anonymous, added-up counts, never anything that points back to a single person.
Where the site is hosted
CosmoMind is hosted by Cloudflare. Like every web host, their servers automatically keep short technical logs of requests (for example, an internet address and the page asked for) to keep the site running and safe from attacks. We don't use these logs to identify visitors.
What we never do
- • No advertising and no ad networks.
- • No selling or renting of anyone's information.
- • No third-party trackers following you between websites.
- • No accounts, so nothing to hack or leak.
Built with children in mind
CosmoMind is made for children, so we follow the UK's Age Appropriate Design Code (the Children's Code): collect as little as possible, keep it private by default, and never use a child's data to nudge or profile them. Because the site asks children for nothing, there is nothing for us to misuse. The contact form is meant for a parent or teacher, not a child.
Your choices and your rights
You can remove the progress stored on your device at any time by clearing your browser data. If you've written to us and want us to delete your email and message, just ask, and we will. Under UK data protection law you have the right to see, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you, which in practice means only a message you chose to send.
Questions about privacy? Use our contact form and we'll be glad to help.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. This policy was last reviewed on 19 July 2026.
